It just so happened that this wedding took place during the week of the crazy North Carolina snow storm of 2014. It felt completely appropriate to frost this beauty with swirls of white fluffy buttercream as I watched the snow buildup out my window! However, I'm thankful that most of the snow and ice melted before I had to deliver it - yikes - that would have been stressful!!
I've been eyeing this frosting technique for a long time now, hoping someone would make an order for me to try it out. Well, I couldn't wait any more, so I went ahead and make a little cake for my friend Jennifer's birthday. I just love the look of the overlapping petals!
This show used to be one of our favorites - so I had a ball making a fondant replica of Rocket, from Little Einsteins. I got my girls to sign off that I got all the details JUST RIGHT before I put Rocket on the cloud cake. It ended up so cute! I'm sure little Liam loved it!
Kinda surprised that I've only had two orders for Lego cakes... Not gonna lie, these little fondant legos take FOREVER to make!!! That's A LOT of little dots!! Looks super cute all put together though!
I have a passion for fun cakes... I also have a passion for spending lots of time with my family! Amazingly, I've stumbled upon a way to enjoy both by making custom cakes for my friends (and their friends) out of my very own home here in Charlotte!! If you've found my site by referral and are ready to talk about your design, shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you've found me from a web search engine, thanks for checking out my designs! Unfortunately, since I'm just one girl with one kitchen, I can't take any web referrals... but feel free to keep looking!
