Game Day {Panther Cake}

I've said this before, and I'll say it again... Charlotte moms are creative when it comes to parties. This little boy was celebrating his birthday at the Panther's Stadium!!! How cool is that?! So... a Panther's cake with coordinating cupcakes for all the parents. The panther on this cake is layers of fondant, had to sharpen my blade to get all the specific cuts JUST right... but it turned out great!

Oh La La {Eiffel Tower Cake}

A first for me... sugar architecture... honestly cannot believe I pulled this one off, a completely edible Eiffel Tower made out of royal icing!!! I LOVE how it turned out!! But, it took HOURS, and I pretty sure if I had to do these all day long I'd get a mean case of carpal tunnel. The final product is totally worth it though, on this sweet pink ruffle cake... very french, don't you think?!

Pop Fly {Softball Cake}

Usually I know ahead of time when a particular design will end up being one of my favorites. This one took me by surprise... the final product was absolutely adorable and one of my recent favorites. One softball for each little girl to celebrate the end of the season - lots of handpainting on this cake, but it was worth it! So cute in person, the picture doesn't do it justice!

Splits {Gymnastics Cake}

Gymnastics is all the rage after the summer olympics, so I wasn't surprised when I got this request for a gymnastics themed cake to celebrate Barrett's birthday!

Ahoy Mates {Pirate Cupcakes}

Some cute Jake and the Neverland Pirate cupcakes for a friend... my girls LOVE this cartoon, so they were thrilled when I made these!

Rapids Ahead {Whitewater Groom's Cake}

A fun idea for a groom's cake - since he works as a rafting instructor at Charlotte's Whitewater Center. This cake was unique in design as well as taste, being my first cookie cake... mall food court style, but cuter and tastier in my opinion!!

Wedding Bling {Rhinestone Wedding Cake}

A January wedding with a little bit of bling...
the banding on this cake is a real rhinestone ribbon!
