What better way to celebrate someone's big day, than a cake with ALL of their favorite things... we loaded this design up with all the favs of the birthday girl, and then added a car headed on a road trip to New Orleans (her big surprise birthday present). So fun!
Penguins are all the range for winter birthday celebrations -- had a few different orders this December with the cutie pies...
A darling mini-cake, just for Giuliana.
A whole flock of boy and girl penguin cupcakes.
And some absolutely darling penguin cake pops, with some snowflake pops on the side. Love!
I love the moms that come up with fun new ideas for me!
Surprisingly, in over 400 cakes, this is my first request for a space theme, and I just LOVE how it turned out. A great cake for Lekan's 1st birthday, with some cupcakes to match!

My kiddos love those games where you find the differences between two pictures... this post could qualify as one of those. Two sunshine cakes in the same month, each is a little different, can you spot the differences??

Well, there is always a first time for everything -- this was a major first for me -- catering a friend's wedding with 220 guests last weekend!!! In hindsight, I'm not sure I really realized how much work this would be - but my hubbie and I totally pulled it off with amazing helpers in the kitchen. Would I do it again? Well... maybe... but not for a few months, I'm exhausted!! :)
A view of us setting up the tent, with the ceremony off in the distance...
Chips & Peach Mango Salsa, Veggies with Roasted Pepper Veggie Dip
Olive Bar, Savory Puff Pastry Bites, Prosciutto & Goat Cheese Dates
Cucumbers with Hummus, Caprese Skewers with Balsamic Glaze, London Broil Sliders
Cheese & Cracker Tray, Shrimp Cocktail, Fresh Fruit
Spinach Artichoke Dip with Pita Chips, Brie Bites in Phyllo
Grey and pink are super trendy right now for girlie nurseries -- through in a dark pink and it makes a great color combo for a cute baby shower cake, complete with monogrammed onesie and a clothesline of baby clothes... cute!
I'm always amazed when I get a cake order that is a theme from when I grew up -- some things really have staying power -- like Tom & Jerry!!! This was a fun "cheese" cake for a little boy who LOVES Tom & Jerry!!
I'll admit, I know almost nothing about cars... except they get me where I want to go. So, I had to do a little research when I was asked to make a 1963 Corvette groom's cake. Now, I may actually be able to answer a Trivial Pursuit question or two on this classic car... I know all about the logo, and what made this body design unique from the year before (the pointed nose), among a few other details!
Here's a pic from the side...
And the back, where you can really see the logos and body shape.

My friend Heather ordered this REALLY fun cake for her sis-in-law's big birthday this year.
We designed it together using all of Cheryl's favorite things - a love of travel, cooking, photography, reading, her kitty, and going to concerts...
Love how the whole thing turned out, especially the mini camera... so cute!!

Summer is wedding season!! This was one of the more unique wedding cakes for me this summer. The venue had orange accents, so orange was the obvious choice...
I just love how it turned out with the details on each side and the beautiful flowers. I almost enjoy arranging the flowers on the cake as much as decorating it!
The bride and groom chose carrot cake and chocolate peanut butter cake -- ohhh yum!!!
A darling wedding shower cake for an office celebrating THREE summer weddings!
One dress for each bride to be - love how this design turned out!
And some delicious cake pops to go along with the cake!

A traditional wedding cake with a modern twist.
The bottom tier of this cake is double stacked (8 inches of sweet goodness) - very trendy in the world of cake design right now. And some creamy sugar flowers growing up a buttercream vine.
This bride chose almond cake and lemon poppy cake... I think I'd have to have a slice of each!
