Happy Valentine's Day... {Valentine Cupcakes}

... a little early... but I couldn't resist my sprinkle shelf this afternoon!!

Pitter Patter {Girl Dedication Cake with Footprints}

Best part of this cake... spreading foodcoloring on baby Murphy's teeny tiny little feet... yup, those are her REAL footprints! I LOVE the design that her mama and I came up with for her baptism tomorrow. This cake makes me smile :)

He's got the whole world in his hands... {3D Globe Cake}

My friend Wendy is getting back from a 10 day mission trip to Uganda today - and her sweet husband had the great idea to welcome her home with this fun cake. Really... just so cute! (Props to my own sweet hubbie, who made the super cute airplane for me this morning... didn't he do a good job??)

Ballet Bunny {Fondant Bunny Cake with Flowers}

Our friend Addy turns 5 this weekend... and this was her special birthday cake request. She designed this cake... from the color of the flowers and bow, to the "fluffy bunny tail." So cute!

What happens on baking days... {Lemon Cupcake}

Had all my supplies out baking today for this weekend's cakes... so I figured I'd fiddle with a new recipe while I was at it... 35 minutes later (plus a trip to the Fresh Market for poppy seeds)... I'm announcing a new cake flavor!!

LEMON POPPYSEED!!

Ohhh - the fruits of my labor were definitely delicious enough to take a picture of... and then to become my lunch! (Possibly my new favorite... dangerous!!)

I'm Back!! {Blue Cupcakes}

In case you've wondered, I didn't drop off the planet - but I have been enjoying some glorious down time from cake decorating! After taking the last half of Dec and first half of Jan off, I'm back in the swing of things! Will be posting a few this weekend, and then a bunch coming up in February and March.

In the meantime, here's a pic of the snowy day cupcakes for my hubbies 34th birthday (can you spy the snowflake sprinkles? so cute!). I was tempted to shove 34 candles in his cupcake, but then realized that would create a flaming ball of sugar - so we downsized with a manageable count of 11 :) To my best taste tester -- happy birthday!
