Shakespeare {A Midsummer Night's Dream Theme Cake}

I love it when my girls come in the room and know exactly what I'm crafting out of cake -- although Leah didn't know it was Shakespeare, she said "mommie, is that a forest with some fairies floating around??" Why yes it is!!! And that's the 5 year old cliff's note version of A Midsummer Night's Dream - don't you wish it was that easy in high school?

Aloha {Hula Girl Luau Cake}

Yes, I know I say this A LOT... but this cake is definitely one of my new favorites. How cute are the two little luau girls with their grass skirts and bikini tops??

Graduation {Graduation Hat Cupcakes}

I'm not exactly sure how I got to this point... but my little girl is "graduating" this week!!! It is only preschool "graduation" - but how could I resist the chance to make these sweet little cupcakes for all her school buddies?! Yes, if you're wondering, I covered them in fondant so it would be easier to wipe off any stray tears that may be missed by the box of kleenex I will be carrying with me :)

Definitely a little something sweet....

Most of my friends know I've been experimenting with cake truffles lately... and they've been such a hit, I'm going to start offering them for sale!! Great for baby or wedding showers, teacher gifts, birthday favors or just if you want "a little something sweet" to satisfy your own sweet tooth.

Prices start at $7.50 per box of 10 truffles (add coordinating ribbon for $1). Flavor combinations and decorations will vary by season, I'll let you know what I have available when you order. I'm also happy to customize truffles for you (flavors and decoration) with a $50 minimum.

Dots and Bows {Pink and White Monogram Dot and Bow Cake}

A simple and classic design - and what little girl doesn't love polka dots and bows??

Mary Mary quite contrary, how does YOUR garden grow?? {Vegetable Garden Cake}

And a close up of the cute little veggies...

Something tells me my girls would eat more veggies if they were all made out of gumpaste and fondant like these! Haha.

Fly fly away {Butterfly Cake with Smash}

Carly is turning one this weekend, and her adorable little birthday outfit was the inspiration for these cakes... too cute! (And check out the little antenna... my favorite part!)

The Crown Jewels... {Princess Crown Cake}

Poor Hannah -- with a late summer bithday she never gets to celebrate at school :( So this year I decided we'd celebrate her pretend birthday before school gets out!! Lucky girl will get to celebrate tomorrow and in August!! She picked this cake herself... somehow the decision was between this and Lightnin' McQueen (strange, but at least I can say that she has diverse interests!!)

More Polka Dots {Lime Green and Pink Polka Dot Cake with Smash}

I'm starting to think I need a category just for polka dot cakes!! It definitely seems to be a trend -- this cute cake is for Camden's 1st birthday -- a little one for her and a big one for the family!

Polka Dots & Presents {Lime Green and Pink Polka Dot Cake with Smash Present}

Really, all I can say is CUTE CUTE CUTE!! I love this color combo, and that the cakes "match" without being exactly the same. Logan's going to LOVE her 1st birthday!

PS. Notice the nice black background?? That's my new kitchen table!! I almost wish I could go back and redo some of my cakes just so I could re-take the pictures, they'd look so much better!!

More Booties {Baby Booties and Buttons Cake}

When I told my girls I was making a bootie cake this week, it took me a few minutes to realize why they were laughing hysterically at me.... In our house, sometimes we use the word "bootie" when we talk about their bottoms (like "shake your booties, girls" when they're dancing around). So, now I get it... a "bootie cake" using their definition would be pretty funny!!
